Paperboard with a sealable PE-coated inner surface suitable for making paper cups.
Characteristics
This paperboard is made with bleached chemical pulp and is available in weights from 200 g/m² to 320 g/m². It has an uncoated face, with a natural and smooth look suitable for flexographic and offset printing. The inner surface is coated with 15 g/m² of extruded polyethylene. This coating seals with heat or ultrasound, allowing the production of perfectly sealed cups at high speeds on standard converting machines.
This product is repulpable and recyclable in standard paper recycling circuits.
Applications
Its characteristics make it ideal for disposable cups for hot beverages, such as coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. It is also suitable for take away food packaging.
