Spanish charities Fundación Talita and Icària Iniciatives Socials select Torraspapel's papers for their calendars.
In keeping with its mission and values of social responsibility, Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, participates on a yearly basis in a number of charitable endeavors. Noteworthy among these social initiatives is its involvement in the production and distribution of calendars published by non-profit organizations that promote the integration of persons with special needs.
For twelve years, the Fundación Talita calendar has been bringing together some of the best-known figures in Spanish sports, fashion and television for a charitable cause. Racing driver Carlos Sainz, designer Custo Dalmau, chef Elena Arzak and Barcelona footballer Carles Puyol are featured in the 2014 calendar, printed on CreatorSilk 150 grams and CreatorVol 100 grams. Proceeds from the calendar are used to increase awareness of and promote the integration of children with Down's syndrome or special educational needs.
The organization Icària Iniciatives Socials, whose aim is also to promote the integration of disabled persons, has launched a pioneering initiative in Europe: the INOUT hostel and restaurant, the first European tourist complex where 90% of the staff has some kind of disability. Torraspapel supports this initiative by collaborating on their yearly calendar, printed on 300 gram CreatorSilk paper, to help promote the INOUT hostel.
