GardaMatt Ultra Swatchbook: “Amazing to see, wonderful to touch”

Lecta launches a new swatchbook for its GardaMatt Ultra papers from Cartiere del Garda

“Amazing to see, wonderful to touch” is the theme of the new GardaMatt Ultra swatchbook, a sample folder revolving around the concept of papers that are beautiful to look at, marvellous to feel.

The swatchbook contains a series of photographs with actions directly related to the images. The feathers of a swan are an invitation to caress, the weightlessness of a white cloud an invitation to pinch, a small amphibian hanging onto a leaf an invitation to grasp.

GardaMatt Ultra is designed to be irresistible, a paper that pleases sight and touch alike. It is the latest creation from Lecta, which continues to invest in the development of innovative products to anticipate and respond to market needs, offering papers that combine maximum quality with respect for the environment.

GardaMatt Ultra is a woodfree coated paper with a rough matt surface. It is high-bulk (1.0), acid-free and age-resistant, available in substances of 115, 130, 150 and 170 g/m2 and can be FSC® or PEFC™ certified upon request.

This product is particularly suited to the publishing market’s needs, guaranteeing superb runnability, high printability, excellent stiffness, and exceptional “delta gloss” (the different level of gloss between the printed and the unprinted areas).

Lecta has yet again met its goal to offer a quality line of products, which is both versatile and focused on the specific needs of each of its customers.

Lecta Reduces Energy Consumption at Its Mills by 60% with New Lighting

In keeping with its environmental objective of optimizing energy consumption.

In accordance with its firm environmental commitment in carrying out its manufacturing operations, Lecta has updated the lighting installations at its Zaragoza, Sant Joan les Fonts and Motril mills in Spain. This energy efficiency project carried out in cooperation with Spanish energy and renewables company Acciona entailed substituting all the lighting at plant facilities, replacing conventional lighting with new LED installations.

This first phase is part of an overall energy plan that aims to optimize energy management at Lecta's five mills in Spain.

Before implementing the projects defined within the plan, most of which are currently being developed, several audits and an exhaustive analysis of the current situation at each mill were carried out.

After a year and a half, positive results have already been achieved by implementing the initial projects such as this one, that has allowed for a significant energy and lighting maintenance savings. In all, Lecta has reduced its energy consumption by more than 60%, while preventing annual emissions of 500 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.

It is worth noting that, as a result of this project, Lecta is in strict compliance with light pollution requirements, ahead of the new European regulation already in place in several Autonomous Communities in Spain. Moreover, by updating the lighting at these mills, the company also complies with industry regulations regarding lighting for food industry customers.

For further details on Lecta's commitment as a responsible company, please visit www.lecta.com.

11/18/2020 6:00:00 PMhttps://www.lecta.com/en/news/Pages/Lecta-Reduces-Energy-Consumption-at-Its-Mills-by-60-percent-with-New-Lighting.aspxLecta Reduces Energy Consumption at Its Mills by 60% with New Lighting
