Lecta takes you on a tour of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid with twelve works of art showing how portraits have evolved throughout the history of painting.

The human face, as a mirror of identity, presents artists with a unique challenge when attempting to depict its features on a canvas. Models' distinctive traits and each painter's varied techniques and sensibilities make for an interesting overview of how the representation of the human visage has evolved throughout different artistic movements.

Together with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (Madrid, Spain), Lecta's new calendar features details of works of art that represent a vast range of artistic styles, opening our eyes to lines and brushstrokes that capture the very essence of the human expression.

We chose GardaPat 13 KIARA paper for Lecta's 2017 calendar, an ideal medium for expressing the richness of nuance and the exclusive nature of art publications. It is a natural white coated matt paper characterized by its high bulk and velvety surface.
